The Laserphaco Probe is a medical device that is used for the removal of Cataracts using a laser beam. This device increased accuracy in the performance of Cataracts surgery as against the manual-based procedures previously used.
Dr. Patricia Bath was the first African-American to finish a residency at the New York University and the co-founder of the American Institute for the Prevention of Blindness.
