Arts Africa On Demand
Ghanaian writer, filmmaker and podcaster, Joewackle J. Kusi joins us on this week’s episode of Arts Africa.
Joewackle’s focus is on telling stories that have soul and is often centered on uncomfortable yet relevant social conversations, spanning religion, family systems, gender, sexuality, lifestyle and culture.
His debut feature, LUCKY was described by critics as an instant cult classic. It mirrors the social and cultural lifestyle of the Ghanaian millennials.
Joe followed that up with BOYS NO DEY CRY, a short film that explores the complexities of toxic masculinity,
mental health, religion, and family in African homes.
He has also worked on short films, webseries and TV both as a writer and in different capacities on various creative content.
